SKANDALKONZERT – The Battle: High Art vs Low Art

If classical music is “high art” what then is electronic music? What do the worlds of avant-garde classical music in gilded concert halls and grungy DJ sets have in common?

Take an excursion through the minds and passions of talented musicians through a conversation and creative performances that will challenge your understanding of music you know it.

Skandalkonzert is a series of audacious alternative-classical music affairs hosted by Churen Li.

Churen Li is an 1880 member and pianist-composer whose work encompasses the super classical, creative and also experimental.

Peter Tornquist is Dean of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, as well as a composer with a diverse background in electronic music and improvisation.

Kin Leonn is an ambient artist and composer whose soundtrack recently premiered at Cannes Film Festival. As an electronic producer, he has collaborations with Yeule, Moderat, and Yunè Pinku.
